We are thrilled to announce that our 2011 Songlines Shiraz was awarded a SILVER OUTSTANDING MEDAL at this year’s 2014 International Wine and Spirit Competition in London.
To win such a coveted award from an institution like the IWSC is an honour, as we know that our wines have been judged to the highest standard.

SONGLINES SHIRAZ 5 STAR RATING
Just received the latest issue of Winestate Magazine featuring the 'World's Greatest Shiraz Challenge'; fantastic result for our 2011 Songlines McLaren Vale Shiraz with a whopping 5 STAR rating! Here is what they had to stay about our stunning wine: "Remarkably good for a 2011 wine," commented one judge. It has simple berry fruit characters with some classy oak handling, very good tannin structure and alcohol ripeness.

SONGLINES SHIRAZ AWARDED GOLD AT THE 2013 NZ INTERNATIONAL
We are thrilled to announce that our 2010 Songlines Shiraz was awarded a GOLD medal at this year’s 2013 New Zealand International Wine Show! The New Zealand International was judged 9th-11th September and from an entry of just over 2,000 wines, 201 gold medals were awarded. Another brilliant result for our popular Songlines Shiraz!

SONGLINES SHIRAZ RANKED TOP 3 IN VIENNA
Earlier in the year we were advised we won a GOLD medal for our 2010 Songlines Shiraz at the AWC Vienna International Wine Challenge - the largest and most successful wine competition in the world! On Sunday the 28th October 2012, AWC Vienna held their “Gala Night of Wine”, located at the iconic City Hall of Vienna. At this event, wineries who participated in the challenge were able to present their wines in attendance of more than 2,500 invited experts and wine lovers. During the event there was a presentation of the AWC Vienna trophies and special awards, where we were advised that not only did we win GOLD, but reached a TOP 3 ranking in the world in its category! This is without doubt the highest accolade awarded to us thus far – another tremendous result!

Results for the 2012 China Wine Awards have just been released, and we have come away with more amazing results! GOLD FOR SONGLINES!
We are thrilled to announce some very exciting news, fresh from Vienna, Austria! Our very own 2010 Songlines Shiraz and 2009 Songlines Cabernet Sauvignon have just been awarded an amazing GOLD MEDAL at this year’s 2012 AWC Vienna International Wine Competition. 11,514 wines from 1,760 producers out of 37 nations entered this year’s awards – currently a world record ! Not only did we come away with Gold; our 2010 Leylines Cabernet Sauvignon and 2010 Leylines Shiraz also received a SILVER MEDAL.

Deep garnet colored, the 2008 Songlines Shiraz is a little restrained on the nose revealing subtle hints of bay leaf and moss covered bark over a core of warm plums, creme de cassis, mulberries plus whiffs of leather, sandalwood and earth. It’s more forward in the mouth with a good amount of expressive fruit and earth layers structured with a medium level of velvety tannins and refreshing acidity, finishing long and layered. Drinking well now, it should cellar to 2019+.

Deep garnet colored, the 2008 Bylines Shiraz has aromas of warm berries, black plums and Mediterranean herbs with nuances of tree bark, earth and black olives. Full bodied with a generous amount of blackberry and earthy flavors, it’s well supported by refreshing acid and a medium to firm level of grainy tannins, finishing long. Drink it now to 2017+.

NEW ZEALAND INTERNATIONAL WINE SHOW 2011 RESULTS
We are proud to announce that our 2008 Songlines Shiraz and 2008 Bylines Shiraz were both presented award winning medals at the New Zealand International Wine Show. The event is firmly established as the largest wine competition held in New Zealand each year, reaching a record 2273 entries in 2008.
